GMEC Wellness Champions
Wellness is a journey that takes teamwork. Our GMEC Wellness Champions are chosen by their program leadership because of their passions for wellness. Each Champion strives to promote resident and fellow well-being, encourage and inspire house staff participation, and serves as the voice between our GMEC Well-Being Committee and their programs.
The GMEC Wellness Champions communicate opportunities within and outside of Temple to their house staff colleagues and help communicate the needs of Temple house staff to the Well-Being Committee. The Wellness Champions lead by example, help build camaraderie among the residents and fellows, and impact the overall culture of wellness within our organization.
Mission
The GMEC Wellness Champions are the hallmark of the GMEC Well-Being mission. The Wellness Champions are responsible to promote resident and fellow well-being, encourage and inspire house staff participation, and enhance the overall culture of wellness.
Responsibilities of the GMEC Wellness Champions
- Share communication from Well-Being Committee to other residents/fellows in their program
- Share wellness communication from Human Resources to other residents/fellows in their program verbally, via social media, etc.
- Encourage dialogue around wellness in their respected programs
- Stay up to date with support services and wellness resources
- Provide feedback to Well-Being Committee related to resident/fellow wellness needs
