Interview Experience
We hope that your Temple interview experience is an excellent one that will allow you to see the many exciting aspects of the Internal Medicine Residency Program. In order to have the best possible time here, please note the following:
In Preparation
Our Internal Medicine residency administrators oversee the logistical aspects of the interview day. Please feel free to contact them as needed. In consideration of many factors including national guidelines, our program will be holding all interviews remotely.
Meet the Residents
If you would like to meet the residents in an informal setting, we encourage you to do so during Zoom sessions without the presence of faculty or GME coordinators. Attendance is optional, and we do not take into account whether you choose to participate. It is solely meant as another opportunity for you to get to know our residents and ask about our program.
Directions
For those in town who would like to see the area, a map and directions to the Health Sciences Center campus are available, please visit Map & Directions.
The Interview Day
The interview day begins at 8:30 a.m. with an introduction from our program director.
During the interview day, you will get a chance to learn about our program from our key faculty, chief residents and residents. You will have a behind-the-scenes remote tour and a chance to see where and how our teaching is done. You will also have an interview with one of our faculty members so that we may get to know you better. Our interview day philosophy is to showcase our outstanding program and meet you as a potential future colleague. Please feel free to ask questions about the program at any time throughout your day here. If you should happen to have questions after you get home, please send them along to any of our administrators and they will be forwarded to the appropriate person.
Your day will end no later than 3:00 p.m.
Second Look Opportunities
We stand with the Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine (AAIM) and their recommendations regarding second visits. Our Internal Medicine Residency Program does not take contact outside of the initial interview day into account when determining an applicant’s ranking. Thus, we will not be hosting applicants for in-person second looks.
