Each year, the program has 7 total positions offered, 6 categorical and 1 preliminary. To apply for the OBGYN residency at Temple University Hospital, you must apply through the ResidencyCAS Program. COMLEX Scores may be submitted and will be taken into consideration. Although most osteopathic applicants choose to take both COMLEX and USMLE exams, we will accept either or both exams for residency application. Those interested in future fellowships are strongly encouraged to take the USMLE exams.
International Medical School Graduate Requirements
In addition to the above requirements:
Foreign Medical Graduates must complete the requirements for Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) prior to applying to our Residency Program
We do accept candidates who require non-employer sponsored visas. If you currently, or in the future, require employer sponsorship for a visa status, you must communicate this during the interview process.
J-1 and H1-B visas can be sponsored

Interview and Selection Procedure
Selection for interviews is a competitive process; we receive thousands of applications to our residency program each year! A holistic review is utilized for interview selection. If you are selected for an invitation to interview, you will be contacted via the email address you supplied through Residency CAS. All interviews will be held virtually for the 2026-2027 cycle.

We plan to preferentially review applications (of both Categorical and Preliminary) from those who signal our program, we will also consider applicants who do not signal us. If invited for interview, you will be notified via the email address you supplied through the ResidencyCAS platform
Our program plans to begin sending interview invitations no earlier than Tuesday, October 27th. Timing of an invitation to interview at our program should not be seen as an assessment of your candidacy. All candidates invited to interview are personally interviewed by faculty and residents. Interview days start at 8:30 AM and end at approximately 1:00 PM.
We utilize the ResidencyCAS platform to send e-mail communications, scheduling for the interview day, and pre-interview socials.
