Temple University offers a two-year, comprehensive Infectious Diseases fellowship led by award-winning physician educators and scholars. We employ extensive bedside and didactic teaching in all areas of Infectious Diseases. Also, Temple is a high-volume solid organ transplant center, performing more lung transplants since 2017 than any other institution in the United States. There is a focus on this immune compromised population, as well as on antibiotic stewardship, infection control, HIV, HCV, and general infectious diseases. Our fellowship has a scholarly activity requirement, and our fellows are frequent recipients of the fellow research prize at the annual Sol Sherry Research conference. Additionally, we offer the opportunity to take graduate level classes at Temple University during fellowship. Temple is the only institution in the country to have a Masters in Urban Bioethics, located at the Health Science campus. Our fellows are eligible to enroll in this program as well.
