Chestnut Hill Internal Medicine focuses on providing outstanding clinical care, promoting strong scholarship, and supportive mentorship.  Faculty members work closely with residents, medical students, post-doctoral fellows, and clinical teams to achieve these goals. Together, we advance medicine and improve our patients’ health.

Our hospital offers residents a community-based program within an urban environment. We are especially motivated to help society’s most vulnerable members, as our hospital serves many low-income patients. 

Caring for one another is also paramount. We promote wellness and life/work balance, while also helping our faculty define and achieve their professional development goals.

Chestnut Hill 

Located in a charming neighborhood in northwest Philadelphia, Chestnut Hill is recognized for its unique blend of historical charm, architectural significance, and natural beauty.  

In the very heart of Chestnut Hill, you will find Germantown Avenue, a cobblestone street lined with boutique shops, cafés, art galleries, and historic architecture.  Annual events are hosted along the avenue, including the Chestnut Hill Garden Festival, Fall for the Arts Festival, and the Chestnut Hill Holiday Stroll.  

For a restorative nature experience, trail heads of Wissahickon Valley Park are within walking distance from the hospital.
