Dr. Jason Gallagher

Dr. Jason Gallagher PharmD, FCCP, FIDP, FIDSA, BCPS

Jason C. Gallagher is a Clinical Professor at Temple University School of Pharmacy, where he has served the institution for more than two decades. A nationally recognized expert in antimicrobial pharmacotherapy, Dr. Gallagher is the co-author of Antibiotics Simplified, now in its fifth edition and used by pharmacy and medical students across the country. He has also severed as President of the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists.

His research contributions include more than 75 peer-reviewed publications and over 140 meeting abstracts, including work with the IDSA COVID-19 treatment guidelines panel during the pandemic and numerous studies of carbapenemresistant organisms. He serves as Editor in Chief of Contagion Live, a leading clinical publication in infectious diseases, and an Associate Editor of Clinical Infectious Diseases.

Dr. Gallagher's dedication to Temple has been recognized with the Lindback Distinguished Teaching Award, multiple Golden Apple Awards, and the Faculty Senate Outstanding Service Award. He currently serves as Coordinator of PostGraduate Training Success, helping students navigate their postdoctoral journeys, and previously directed TUSP's PGY2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency for sixteen years.

Dr. David Koren

David Koren, PharmD, MPH, BCPS, AAHIVP
Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, Infectious Diseases/HIV

David is the lead outpatient Infectious Disease Pharmacist (specializing in HIV and Viral Hepatitis) and coordinates the Antiretroviral Stewardship Program at TUHS. He also is the Director of the PGY2 Residency in Infectious Diseases Pharmacy at Temple.  He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Temple University School of Pharmacy, and completed his post-graduate pharmacy residency training at Yale-New Haven Hospital and the Cleveland Clinic. David has been at temple for over a decade and enjoys teaching the Infectious Disease fellows and working with them in the outpatient clinics. Outside of work, he enjoys trying the newest restaurants of Philadelphia, so feel free to ask him for a recommendation!

Dr. Kazumi Morita

Kazumi Morita, PharmD, BCPS
Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, Infectious Diseases - TUH-main campus

Kazumi is the lead pharmacist for the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program at TUHS and has been in this role for over two decades. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Kentucky and completed her Infectious Diseases Pharmacy residency training there as well.  She strives to develop tools and resources to help optimize antimicrobial use across the health system. Her current interest area is in dose optimization of beta-lactam antibiotics utilizing therapeutic drug monitoring, and she started a pilot program at the hospital. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two school-age boys.

Audrey Siana, PharmD 

Audrey is our PGY-2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Resident. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy at Thomas Jefferson University and completed her PGY1 residency training at Temple University Hospital. Her interests include the optimization of antimicrobial therapy and the management of multidrug-resistant infections.
