Residency Application and Information

The Temple Ophthalmology Residency Program is a strong clinically-oriented training program in Philadelphia, a major medical city. The program consists of 3 residents per graduate year. There are 3 major rotation sites, Temple Hospital, Wilmington Hospital and Willmington Veterans Affairs Medical Center in additional to other rotation to provide a complete educational experience. The Temple Ophthalmology Residency Program prides itself on its collegial atmosphere between staff, faculty and residents. This has allowed us to create a clinical and surgical experience to train motivated, highly skilled individuals who go on to provide the highest quality of patient care.

Applications are accepted through the Central Applications Service (CAS). For more information on applications, visit the SF Match Residency and Fellowship Matching Services website. You will also need to apply for Temple University Hospital's Internal Medicine Preliminary Internship which is done through the NRMP match via ERAS as we are a joint program. For more information on how to apply to the preliminary year, please visit the Internal Medicine Residency Website. You will not need to schedule a separate interview for the preliminary spot. The NRMP application for the joint internship can be submitted after your Temple Ophthalmology interview but before December 18, 2023.

Once applications are received in our office, they are reviewed for possible invitations for interviews.

Any additional information needed will be sent with the interview invitations.

Interviews will be held December 8th and 9th 2023. Direct Inquiries regarding the program can be made to Keara Joyce-Green at Keara.JoyceGreen@tuhs.temple.edu or 215-707-0393.
