Temple's Commitment to Gun Violence Prevention in National Spotlight

A new article published by the Huffington Post Highline highlights Temple’s commitment to gun violence prevention efforts in the City of Philadelphia, as well as the work of Amy Goldberg, MD, FACS, Temple University Health System Surgeon-in-Chief, and Scott Charles, Trauma Outreach Coordinator at Temple University Hospital.

Dr. Goldberg’s journey to becoming a trauma surgeon, as well as her 30 years of experience on the front lines of our nation’s gun violence epidemic, is showcased. In addition, the breadth of community outreach programs that have been created by Dr. Goldberg and Scott Charles, and ongoing trauma research being conducted at Temple, are featured.
