Katz and Temple University Hospital (TUH), our main clinical training site, deliver advanced care for patients across the region. TUH also serves as Pennsylvania’s leading safety-net provider in the nation’s largest city without a public hospital.

Our students learn in other member hospitals and specialty centers of the Temple University Health System. They train in urban, suburban, and rural sites, gaining skills to deliver culturally competent, team-based care for patients with conditions ranging from routine to highly complex.

We pair technical excellence with a deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, teaching the true art and science of “doctoring.“ We are guided by our “Inspiring Excellence” strategic plan.

Our 11-story, 480,000-square-foot campus houses advanced labs and specialized research centers in population health, cancer, heart disease, and more to train the next generation of discovery leaders.

Named in 2015 for Lewis Katz, our school carries forward his values of hard work, dedication, and service as part of Temple University Health System’s $1.6 billion enterprise.
