Center for Asian Health (CAH) is part of Temple University's Lewis Katz School of Medicine. Established in 2000, the Center is one of the first in the nation dedicated to reducing health disparities in cancer and chronic health conditions through research, education/training/mentorship, community outreach and engagement, dissemination and implementation science, as well as patient navigation and clinical support for improving health and well-being of populations and communities.
Center for Asian Health has a long tradition of excellence that promotes and supports community-based participatory research (CBPR) and patient-centered outcomes research (PCOR). The expanded mission of the Center is to foster collaborative transdisciplinary research that comprehensively integrates social, behavioral, environmental, clinical, genetic and biological factors within a multilevel framework by addressing the determinants of health and health disparities in cancer, diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular diseases.
