The Fels Biomedical Research Undergrad (FELS-BR-U) Program is conceived to provide opportunities in research for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds with an interest in pursuing a career in the biomedical research. Individuals from these backgrounds majoring in Biochemistry, Biology, Genomic Medicine, Neuroscience, Bioengineering, and chemistry are encouraged to apply.
The FELS-BR-U Program is a paid, year-round research-intensive program that includes (1) research training under the supervision of pre-selected faculty mentors; and (2) programming related to personal and career development. The goal is for students to develop the research and professional skills necessary to be competitive for research fellowship/programs, graduate school and the research workforce.
