Research Interests

Our key areas of research include:
1. mRNA Technology and Therapeutics for CVD: Designing, developing, delivering, and applying modified mRNA (modRNA) technology or mRNA therapeutics for cardiovascular conditions.
2. Mechanisms of Cardiovascular Function, Pathology and Regeneration: Investigating the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying cardiovascular development, metabolism, diseases, and regeneration.
3. Cell-Specific mRNA Therapeutics: Creating platforms for cell-specific mRNA expression and delivery aimed at treating cardiovascular diseases.
4. mRNA Delivery Systems: Developing lipid nanoparticle (LNP) and non-LNP-based delivery platforms for the targeted delivery of mRNA in CVD and cardiovascular therapies.

Clinical Interests

Our lab is currently focused on discovering novel targets, molecular pathways, and leveraging mRNA and cell-specific mRNA as innovative therapeutic modalities for targeting cardiovascular diseases (CVD).
