Healing Art: The Impact of Violence
Healing Art: The Impact of Violence is an art exhibition hosted by Temple University Hospital in collaboration with Philadelphia artists exploring the impact of violence in our community.
ELIGIBILITY:
Adults (18+) residing in the Philadelphia area are invited to submit artwork. No formal art training is required. Submissions must be original in concept, design and execution. Works in traditional and non-traditional 2D media will be selected for installation during the exhibition. Photographs of 3D submissions and oversize works exceeding 72 inches in any dimension will be eligible for an online gallery screened throughout the exhibition period. Film/video will also be eligible for the online gallery. Entries that differ significantly from their digital images may be rejected.
SELECTION:
Three panelists will judge submissions for acceptance. The decision of the panel is nal. There is no guarantee your submission will be selected.
DIRECTIONS FOR ONLINE SUBMISSION:
Email your images as PDF, JPG, or PNG files not greater than 2MB to healingart@tuhs.temple.edu. Please include your contact information (phone, address and email where available), your biography and the following information about each piece: title, medium, year created, and description. Year created will not be a factor in selection of work.
ACCEPTANCE:
Notification of selection will be made via email by June 4, 2018.
LIABILITY:
Temple is not responsible for any damage, breakage, replacement or cost that may have occurred during transport or unpacking. We assume no liability after the close of the exhibit.
USE OF IMAGES:
Any image submitted may be used for marketing and promotional purposes directly related to this show, including publication in printed materials, advertisements, or electronic media. Copyright and all other rights remain that of the artist.
