The Hope Center at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University has been awarded a grant from Lumina Foundation to create federal policy solutions that support students' basic needs in higher education. The center will provide educational outreach to policymakers to help students access the financial and non-tuition resources they need to obtain a college degree or credential. The grant will facilitate potential enhancements and reforms to federal financial aid and competitive grant programs that support basic needs.

Jennifer Windstein, PA-C, Director of Clinical Education and Associate Professor at the Temple University Lewis Katz School of Medicine Physician Assistant faculty, has always had a passion for teaching. With a bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant (PA) education and a master's degree in Physician Assistant education, she has dedicated her career to shaping the next generation of PAs. 

A diverse group, including physicians, a transplant nurse, and first-year medical students shared stories of their creations before an audience at the 11^th Narrative Medicine Story Slam on October 4. The designated theme was transformation and discovery.
