Training and Mentorship for Underrepresented Junior Investigators (TMU)

The TMU provides community-based research training and mentorship for junior professionals in a broad range of health disparity issues. To date, Center for Asian Health and affiliate research institutions have trained and mentored over 160 junior researchers.  This training program has a dual track:

Junior Investigator Training Track

  • Training and mentoring postdoctoral fellows and junior faculty for independent research
  • Pilot studies development
  • Career Development

Junior Researcher Training Track

  • Training and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students in research
  • Research Assistantship
  • Academic Mentorship (Master and PhD students)
  • Internship
  • Predoctoral Fellowship
  • Volunteer Involvement
