Meet our chief medical residents! Our chief residents serve as key leaders for our program and work together as a team to serve the mission of Temple's residency, hospital, and community. They are selected during their PGY-2 year for excellence as clinicians, educators, and leaders. The chief year is an additional PGY-4 year completed at the end of their residency and an opportunity for our chiefs to give back to our program. Their responsibilities include clinical service through outpatient precepting and as a hospitalist attending on the inpatient floors, educators via curriculum development, administrators, mentors, and advocates for the residency program.

In My Free Time: I love reading, my friends and I have a monthly book club that we created that has been amazing. I also love cooking and baking and pretending I'm a contestant on GBBO. I'm a fan of walking around a city to get to know it, usually with a food destination in mind. I also have a list of places that I have either eaten at or will eat at in the near future, organized by Philly neighborhood. And lastly, I have a cat, who thinks that I'm simply a piece of furniture that he can lay on at any time.
Favorite Thing about Temple: The residents; the friends that I've made here are going to last a lifetime and I honestly could not have gotten through residency without all the amazing support from my friends and attendings.
Favorite Thing about Philly: The food scene, whether it's fine dining or a hole-in-the-wall restaurant, I've had so many amazing food experiences here!
Fun Fact: I love to go solo-hiking! There's something about going at your own pace, enjoying nature, taking candids, and seeing incredible sites. And I love the interactions with other solo hikers, it's such a supportive community!

In My Free Time: I love to explore new restaurants around Philly, go to as many concerts as possible, and I'm working to learn ASL!
Favorite Thing About Temple: Our residents. They are what makes our program so strong as we truly rely on and uplift each other. It's an honor to take care of our underserved patient population but on the toughest days I couldn't do it without our Temple family.
Favorite Thing About Philly: The food scene, art museum, Schuylkill River Trail, and Philly sports pride. Go Birds!
Fun Fact: If I wasn't a physician my dream job would be to make film scores or soundtracks for movies!

In My Free Time: I enjoy traveling with my husband and pup, trying new restaurants, fun cocktail bars (plenty of those around Philly!), reading trashy fiction books, jigsaw puzzles, wine nights with my girls.
Favorite Thing About Temple: THE PEOPLE. Easiest answer. I love spending time with all my co-residents. We can always lean on each other, laugh with each other and bond over our tough experiences that these three years bring. This extends to our fellows and attendings, who become life-long mentors and friends.
Favorite Thing About Philly: Go Birds!!! The energy that Philadelphia fans bring is truly unmatched. I can’t wait for you all to experience it!
Fun Fact: I adopted a puppy in the middle of intern year while in the RICU…without telling my husband! He loves her now :)
