This track offers a rare opportunity to earn a Master’s Degree in Urban Bioethics (MAUB) during the course of your Ob/Gyn residency.  To our knowledge, Temple is the only program in the country to offer this type of degree within an Ob/Gyn Residency Program.

The Urban Bioethics track was developed for residents who are looking to build a strong foundation and a deeper understanding of social determinants of health, cultural humility, health disparities, community engagement, and the role of ethics in health, laws, and policy.  It consists of coursework taken through the Center for Urban Bioethics (CUB) plus clinical rotations pertinent to practicing medicine in an urban setting.

The course schedule was designed specifically for the four year Ob/Gyn program and offers flexibility in timing. Residents graduating with the MAUB will be optimally positioned to participate as bioethicists in clinical care institutions, health departments, public policy, and administration areas.

Please see the Master's Program website for more information.
