Schedules/Rotations

As a university hospital set in an urban community, Temple is a leader in delivering state-of-the-art medical care to a large indigent population. The resident training and educational program within the Obstetrical and Gynecological Service provides residents the opportunity to participate in the forefront of many of the exciting areas of contemporary medicine: the dynamics of health care delivery; clinical investigation; teaching; and, most importantly, the thoughtful, efficient and compassionate care of the patient. Our clinical rotation schedule is below:

PGY-1

8 weeks - Triage 8 weeks - Obstetrics
8 weeks - Maternal Fetal Medicine 8 weeks - Gynecology
8 weeks - Gynecology 8 weeks - Obstetrics and Gynecology Night Float
8 weeks - Ambulatory/ Family Planning  

 

PGY-2

8 weeks - Obstetrics 8 weeks - Gynecologic Oncology at Temple University Hospital
8 weeks - Gynecology 8 weeks - Obstetrics and Gynecology Night Float
4 weeks - Urogynecology 4 weeks - Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility
8 weeks - Ambulatory/ Family Planning

8 weeks - Maternal Fetal Medicine 8 weeks - Obstetrics
8 weeks - Obstetrics and Gynecology Night Float 8 weeks - Gynecology or Elective Rotation (4 weeks)  
8 weeks - Gynecologic Oncology and Surgery at Fox Chase Cancer Center 8 weeks - Ambulatory/ Family Planning 
8 weeks - Gynecology Surgery at Jeanes Hospital
