Thoracic Surgery Fellowship

ErkmenMessage from the Program Director

We welcome your interest in Temple University Health System’s ACGME Thoracic Fellowship. Our goal is to provide outstanding training to graduate leaders in the field of cardiothoracic surgery. We provide a robust experience in team-based care, fundamental cardiothoracic techniques and the most advanced technology including off-pump strategies, robotic surgery, POEM, and endoscopic/bronchosocpic interventions. Fellows will acquire the knowledge and techniques to become skilled cardiothoracic surgeons, but also learn how to advance their career through scholarship and program development.

At Temple, we uphold a tradition of providing the highest quality of patient care. We have the opportunity to practice and teach strategies of advanced health care delivery to underserved populations. We are dedicated to a respectful and inclusive environment for all team members, patients and their families.

Our greatest strength is our faculty who are committed to the success of each fellow. We mentor our fellows to become trusted colleagues, confident in their ability to practice in the environment of their choice. We welcome you to explore the unique features of our fellowship.

Thank you for your interest in our program.
