Fox Chase Cancer Center is a world class cancer specialty hospital with one of the few National Cancer Institute’s prestigious comprehensive cancer center designation. Residents spend time training here with an emphasis on cancer and cancer related procedures including solid organ ablation, transarterial chemoembolization, Y90-radioembolization, biopsies, drainages, urologic procedures, venous access, lymphatic therapy, and others. Residents also have a prominent role in outpatient consults and pre and post procedure patient management.
The high-volume focused care of complex cancer patients is training that residents find to be a rewarding and invaluable experience. Fox Chase Cancer Center is equipped with 2 dedicated IR suites, a CT scanner directly across the hall and 3 dedicated IR ultrasound machines.
