About: 

Dr. Saldivar is a PGY-2 preliminary surgical resident. He has broad surgical interests including urology, general surgery, and plastic surgery. During Robert’s intern year, he was able to publish two first-author manuscripts; 1) focused on evaluating the durability total hip arthroplasty using cementless implants in patients older than 75 years of age and 2) focused on evaluating the etiology and subsequent surgical management of mechanical malfunction and failure in inflatable penile prosthetics. Additionally, he presented a third project on the hormonal effects of early microsurgical intervention of high-grade varicoceles in adolescents at the Sexual Medicine Society of North America’s fall conference San Diego in November of 2023.

      Dr. Simas is a PGY-2 resident. She is interested in pursuing a career in trauma surgery and critical care medicine. She did two years of research studying Acute Radiation Syndrome and spent a summer researching cardiac ischemia-reperfusion injury mitigators. She has an interest in wound care and soft tissue infections.
