Dr. Alyson Kim is a PGY-1 resident in General Surgery at Temple University. Prior to pursuing medicine, she worked in education consulting and as a finance news anchor in Moscow, Russia. During medical school, she conducted research in surgical care access among fistula patients in Kenya. She is currently interested in Burn or Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery with an emphasis on Global Surgery. Her career goals include international research collaborations exploring healthcare disparities in surgery, community outreach, and advocating for a culture of empowerment in surgical education.
