Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Fellowship

Welcome to the Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Fellowship Program at Temple University Hospital!

Temple is a pioneering heart transplant program with over 1000 transplants performed.  Temple offers a collegial working relationship with a dedicated team of 8 HF/Transplant/VAD/PH cardiologists, 5 Transplant/VAD surgeons and 4 nurse practitioners. Our faculty members have broad research interest in outcomes, basic sciences, and clinical trials.

This is a one-year training program in advanced heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, cardiac transplantation and mechanical circulatory support. The curriculum will include patient management in the outpatient, inpatient and catheterization laboratory settings.  Experience in transplant infectious disease, palliative care, imaging, device management, transplant immunology & pathology, cardiac rehab and cardiopulmonary exercise testing is included.

Applicants should have finished a 3-year general cardiology fellowship before the start date.
