More than 100 community members, researchers, healthcare professionals, advocates, and public health leaders gathered at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University for the third annual Philadelphia Communities Conquering Cancer (PC3) Citywide Cancer Conference.

The initiative brings together Philadelphia's three National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer centers with community organizations and public agencies to address cancer disparities through partnership, community engagement, and expanded access to care.
The conference also marked the first major public remarks in Philadelphia by Robert A. Winn, MD, following his appointment as Director of Fox Chase Cancer Center. Winn emphasized that meaningful progress against cancer disparities depends on collaboration across institutions and neighborhoods, while Dean Amy J. Goldberg, MD, FACS, highlighted the essential role of community partnership in shaping research and improving patient outcomes. Throughout the day, speakers and presenters showcased collaborative projects focused on increasing access to education, screening, clinical trials, and support services, reinforcing PC3's shared commitment to building a more equitable future for cancer care across Philadelphia.
