The Center for Neural Development and Repair (CNDR) is dedicated to advancing research in nervous system developmental disorders and injuries. Our work focuses on understanding neural repair and plasticity to develop effective therapies with spinal cord, brain, and peripheral nerve injuries in adults and children. Through collaboration with clinicians and scientists, we translate innovative discoveries into clinical applications that improve patient outcomes.
Housed in the Medical Education and Research Building, CNDR includes state-of-the-art laboratories and a well-established clinical research program. Our faculty consists of a dynamic team of basic scientists and clinicians who specialize in neurodevelopment, regeneration, and rehabilitation. CNDR is growing, with ongoing faculty recruitment and strong partnerships across Temple University, Drexel University, and Thomas Jefferson University, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach to neural repair. At CNDR, we see research discoveries and therapeutics as a calling—one that demands collaboration and the relentless pursuit of solutions to neurological disorders.
"At the Center for Neural Development and Repair, we advance our research to identify genetic and molecular mechanisms and develop therapies to improve outcomes for individuals with brain and nerve disorders."
CNDR is committed to pioneering research in spinal cord, brain, and peripheral nerve repair. Our investigators are expanding studies into new frontiers, including neurodegenerative diseases, gene therapy, and advanced imaging technologies.
