Temple Hosts Regional Symposium on Orthopaedic Trauma The 8th Annual Philadelphia Orthopaedic Trauma Symposium was held in the MERB on June 10th – 11th, hosted by the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University (LKSOM). The 12-CME-credit conference examined emerging technologies and methodologies in orthopaedic fracture management and the latest evidence for the treatment of clavicle, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, femur, knee, foot, ankle, and other fractures.  

“About 150 participants from around the region and beyond attended this year’s symposium, which offered an engaging variety of lectures, panel discussions, small groups, research posters and hands-on workshops covering cutting-edge topics in orthopaedic trauma,” said the event’s co-chair Saqib Rehman, MD, Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at LKSOM and Director of Orthopaedic Trauma at Temple University Hospital (TUH).  

“Events such as this showcase LKSOM for the regional orthopaedic community and demonstrate our commitment to educating and training surgeons and their care teams in the latest, evidence-based procedures and treatments to preserve the musculoskeletal function and well-being of trauma patients,” he added.
