Fox Chase Cancer Center Hosts Cancer Moonshot Summit

Fox Chase Cancer Center was selected by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to host the official Cancer Moonshot Summit for Region 3 (including Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington DC) on Wednesday, June 29, 2016.

The day’s events were hosted by Wafik El-Deiry, MD, PhD, FACP, Deputy Cancer Center Director of the Translational Research Program, Co-Leader of the Molecular Therapeutics Program and William Wikoff Smith Endowed Chair in Cancer Research at Fox Chase Cancer Center.

The program also featured a live-streamed address from Vice-President Biden from the Moonshot Summit location at Howard University.

Three expert panels representing cancer centers and industry nationwide lead discussions on Research: The Foundation of Progress, Data Sharing in Precision Oncology and Clinical Trials and Patient Advocacy.
