The Lewis Katz School of Medicine will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026 due to forecasted icy conditions and anticipated power outages.

In-person classes are cancelled, and Katz offices will be closed. Remote work is not expected unless required to support scheduled remote instructional activities, as determined by departmental leadership.

Essential personnel should report as required by departmental needs and should consult their supervisors with any questions.

Students in the MD, PA, Post-Baccalaureate, and Graduate programs at both the North Philadelphia campus and the St. Luke’s regional campus will receive additional guidance from their respective program deans/directors regarding scheduled exams and any conversion to remote learning. Faculty with didactic teaching responsibilities will be notified directly.

TEMPLE FACULTY PHYSICIAN PRACTICE (TFP) clinics will be closed for in-person visits tomorrow, Monday, January 26, 2026.  Some TFP visits will be moved to Telehealth per patient and physician preference.  Students on clinical rotations in the MD and PA programs within TUHS, at St. Luke’s and at our other affiliate institutions should not report

Normal class schedules and operations at Katz are expected to resume on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
