Help Beyond the Yoga Class

October 03, 2017

A follow up story from For Expecting Mothers, Time For Warrior 1:

A month after her yoga class, a few days before the next one, Shekea Johnson had a scare and went to the emergency room. She mentioned to the nurses that she had taken the yoga class for expecting mothers, and next thing she knew, Dr. Roschanak Mossabeb had come in to see her.

Dr. Mossabeb was dressed like a doctor, and not a yoga instructor. It was then that Johnson realized Dr. Mossabeb was both. “I just thought she was really well informed for a yoga teacher,” Johnson said.

Johnson went home on bed rest, and delivered beautiful twin girls on Sept. 30, Siani, left, 4–9, and Sanaa, 5 lbs.

Seated between them is their father, Julian Davis.

Mother and babies are doing well, and when she’s feeling strong enough, Johnson hopes to go back to yoga with Dr. Mossabeb.
