About

The Center for Inflammation and Clinical Lung Research (CILR) is composed of basic, pre-clinical, translational and clinical researchers who are interested in the pathogenesis of lung disease, and other inflammatory disease states. Investigators in the CILR study both acute and chronic inflammatory disease using a combination of in vitro and animal model systems, as well as patients being seen by physicians in the Department of Thoracic Medicine and Surgery. The investigators in CILR are highly collaborative and strive to conduct their research studies using multidisciplinary approaches to study the immunology, physiology, pharmacology, and pathology of inflammatory diseases.
