Center for Asian Health (CAH) is part of Temple University's Lewis Katz School of Medicine. Established in 2000, the Center is one of the first in the nation dedicated to reducing cancer and health disparities among diverse Asian Americans (funded by NIH/NCI). The Center's mission is to reduce health disparities and improve health equity among underserved Asian Pacific Americans and other diverse health disparity populations through research, education/training/mentorship, community outreach and engagement, dissemination and implementation science, as well as patient navigation and clinical support for enhancing culturally and linguistically appropriate health care.

Center for Asian Health has a long tradition of excellence that promotes and supports community-based participatory research (CBPR) and patient-centered outcomes research (PCOR). The expanded mission of the Center is to foster collaborative transdisciplinary research that comprehensively integrates social, behavioral, environmental, clinical, genetic and biological factors within a multilevel framework by addressing the determinants of health and health disparities in cancer, diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular diseases.

Sincerely,
