Welcome to the Section of Hospital Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. As the newest Section within the Department of Medicine, we have the unique opportunity to mold our group and provide a fresh contribution to the ever changing world of healthcare within the hospital.

Our underlying mission however will never waiver. We as hospitalist in we focus on dedication to provide quality patient care with unrelenting attention to clinical excellence, patient safety and an unparalleled passion and commitment to assure the very best healthcare for those we serve.

We aim to provide an integrated high quality and cost effective network of health care services consistent with current medical standards for the prevention, diagnoses, treatment, and rehabilitation of illness. While anticipating and responding to developments in the health care system, we as a Section can thereby ensure delivery of cutting edge medicine to our patients.

We also work very closely with the ancillary staff and residency programs alike. Through daily encounters, we look to foster this education by our commitment to strong communication and research opportunities that develop from clinical rounds. Furthermore, our daily practices of evidence based medicine and support of a multidisciplinary approach will help educate by example to the physicians of tomorrow.

Ultimately, we strive to be the hospitalist group of choice for patients, physicians, residents and employees in our service areas because of our preeminent patient care, superior patient experience, and our commitment to best practice healthcare programs.
