The Center for Metabolic Disease Research (CMDR) conducts groundbreaking basic and clinical research to better understand metabolic disorders. Our work focuses on conditions like diabetes, obesity, liver steatosis, hypertension, cardiovascular, and Alzheimer's diseases. With extensive research and education programs, CMDR fosters collaboration across disciplines to drive new discoveries and improve patient outcomes.
Our faculty consists of renowned scientists, clinicians, and educators dedicated to understanding the complex biological mechanisms behind metabolic diseases. We are committed to mentoring emerging researchers and fostering an environment that encourages interdisciplinary collaboration. With more than 21 full-time faculty and staff members, CMDR is a hub of innovation and scientific discovery, supported by NIH and extramural funding.
