Anjali Vaidya, MD, FACC, FASE, FACP

Director, Temple Advanced Pulmonary Hypertension, Right Heart Failure, and CTEPH Program

Dr. Vaidya is internationally recognized for her expertise in all forms of PH and Right Heart Failure, including refined skill in using echocardiography to assess, monitor, and offer individually tailored therapy to patients with this complex disease. A premier educator, mentor and published researcher, she is the recipient of numerous teaching awards and has extensive experience in helping patients with PH and Right Heart Failure, including CTEPH and other subtypes. She has been invited to speak nationally and internationally on Pulmonary Hypertension to further educate physicians’ understanding and knowledge of how to care for these complex patients. She was recruited to the Temple PH, Right Heart Failure, and CTEPH program after serving as Co-Director of PH at the University of Pennsylvania.

Mrinalini Krishnan, MD, FACC

Associate Director, Temple Advanced Pulmonary Hypertension, Right Heart Failure, and CTEPH Program

Director, Pulmonary Hypertension / Pulmonary Vascular Disease Fellowship Program

Dr. Krishnan is a highly experienced clinician in the comprehensive care of patients with PH and Right Heart Failure. She is an accomplished teacher who has earned multiple awards for excellence in medical education and is deeply engaged in training fellows, residents, and students through hands-on, clinically focused learning. She is a regular invited faculty member at national and international conferences, where she shares practical insights on diagnosis, risk stratification, and evolving management approaches in Pulmonary Hypertension. Prior to joining Temple, she served as Regional Director of Pulmonary Hypertension at MedStar Heart & Vascular Institute, overseeing clinical programs across the Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD region. Her leadership and depth of experience provide fellows with outstanding exposure to complex cases and multidisciplinary care in a high-volume referral center.

Mohammed Chowdhury, MD

Director of Research, Temple Advanced Pulmonary Hypertension, Right Heart Failure, and CTEPH Program

Associate Director, Pulmonary Hypertension / Pulmonary Vascular Disease Fellowship Program

Dr. Chowdhury is extensively trained in Pulmonary Hypertension and Advanced Heart Failure & Cardiac Transplant. He completed his Heart Failure Fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the Burke Advanced Fellowship in Pulmonary Heart Disease at Brigham and Women’s Hospital at Harvard University. His PhD is in Health Sciences, integrating artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning in cardiovascular medicine, with a focus on teaching, research, and healthcare leadership. He is additionally board certified by the National Board of Echocardiography, having received the Top 25 Investigator Award. He joined the Temple PH, Right Heart Failure, and CTEPH Program after directing the North Central Heart Failure Program in Sioux Falls.

Ahmed Sadek, MD

Dr. Sadek joined the Temple Pulmonary Hypertension, Right Heart Failure, and CTEPH Program after completing extensive training under the mentorship of Drs. Vaidya & Forfia. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Pennsylvania, Cardiology Fellowship at Temple University, and Advanced Heart Failure & Cardiac Transplant Fellowship at the University of Michigan prior to his Pulmonary Hypertension Fellowship at Temple. His interests include echocardiography in pulmonary hypertension, right heart catheterization with invasive cardiopulmonary exercise testing, and inpatient critical care cardiology with emphasis on pulmonary hypertension, right heart failure and CTEPH.

Carly Fabrizio, DO

Dr. Fabrizio is an Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist, with additional training and expertise in Pulmonary Hypertension, having completed her advanced fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Prior to that, she was Chief Cardiology Fellow at Christiana Hospital. She is an award-winning medical educator and serves formally in Graduate Medical Education at Temple Hospital and Lewis Katz School of Medicine, working closely with our advanced fellows, fellows, and residents. She joined Temple Heart and Vascular Institute with extensive background and interest in pulmonary hypertension, advanced heart failure, and cardiac amyloidosis.
