  • Why Chestnut Hill Family Practice: Every interaction I had during interview season was so warm. I could see the friendly camaraderie between residents and I knew I would be comfortable here right away. The program offers a supportive learning environment along with quality experience and I loved the location.

  • Why Chestnut Hill Family Practice: Virtual interviews were not fun, but somehow my interview at CHFP just flew by! I loved talking to everyone! It was obvious that everyone at Chestnut Hill Family Practice was one big family! I am so glad I chose this place because my first impression was right, I feel at home here.
  • Where to find me when my pager is turned off: Traveling the world! I love traveling and city-hopping. So even if I get a weekend off, I'm guaranteed to be a flight away from the hospital!

  • Why Chestnut Hill Family Practice: Chestnut Hill practices the “happy doctors are good doctors” mantra and is a close-knit program that values teamwork and resident well-being. Also, I hadn’t finished trying all the cheesesteaks in Philly so getting to stick around was a huge plus!
  • Where can we find you when your pager is turned off: Exploring the city with my wife, hunting down Philly’s best slice of pizza, cooking, and watching baseball (Lets go Yankees!).

I love Philly (and eating my way around Philly) so much!!
  • Why Chestnut Hill Family Practice: The people, the environment, the faculty, the staff, and the city. This residency has the warmest, nicest, most genuine residents, faculty, and staff and just the happiest feel to it. I feel like I am learning so much every day but also enjoying myself, growing as a person, and I get to be myself!
  • Where can we find you when your pager is turned off: Italian market, at Seger dog park, trying new restaurants and bars, Facetiming friends and family, hanging out with my husband and dog, Sunny, on a patio with friends, on my couch watching TV.

  • Why Chestnut Hill Family Practice: I chose CHFP because of its dedication to the community, the location, and because of the super friendly and down-to-earth residents and faculty I met throughout my interview day. It has been a great experience so far!

  • Why Chestnut Hill Family Practice: I really wanted to make sure I had a great community in residency, and Chestnut Hill seemed just like that kind of place. From what I've heard about the program, then how interviews went, and now getting started, everybody has been very supportive and it's been great vibes. And after a year in the program, it's still been great!

  • Why Chestnut Hill Family Practice: From my first interaction with the residents and faculty at Chestnut Hill, I immediately felt welcomed into a warm and supportive environment. The faculty shared that the smaller program size meant that they could invest time in fostering each resident's unique interests. Coming from a medical school and large safety-net hospital, I wanted to prioritize training at a residency program with a strong emphasis on working with patients who are typically underserved.
  • Where can we find you when your pager is turned off: Exploring Philly with my partner: trying out new restaurants (primarily for their dessert), parks, and running routes.

I knew coming to Chestnut Hill Family Practice would give me a chance work with the teachers and role models I need to become the kind of doctor I hope to be.
