Tariem A. Burroughs, MSODL – Community Engagement Specialist

Tariem Burroughs has been working in the fields of education and community partnerships for many years and in various roles. Throughout his career he has always had the drive to make programs sustainable yet innovative and fresh. He has managed and helped to empower organizations and programs during start-up phases and at times of transition for years now. He possesses a strong understanding of the trials and tribulations faced in the effort to unlock an organization’s, programs',  and community's potential for success.

He completed his Masters of Science in Organizational Development and Leadership at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Masters of Education Entrepreneurship at University of Pennsylvania, and earned his Bachelors of Science in Education from the University of Scranton. He also completed the National Afterschool Matters Initiative Practitioner Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania and recently obtained his certification in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) at Temple University. Tariem is currently pursuing his PhD in Sociology at Temple University. 

It is his hope to continue to find new, innovative ways to blend these skill sets to improve the wellbeing of communities and community based programs.
