The educational component of the Temple Rheumatology Fellowship Program includes section-wide, fellow-specific, and interdisciplinary conferences. Section-wide conferences occur weekly and covered topics include Rheumatology Grand Rounds; case conference; morbidity & mortality (M&M) report; journal club; and disease-specific conferences focusing on pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment. Fellow-specific didactics include board review, immunology, MSK radiology, MSK ultrasound, ACR guideline review, lupus journal club, and review of sentinel papers in rheumatology. Interdisciplinary conferences include Connective Tissue Disease Associated Interstitial Lung Disease (CTD-ILD) Conference and Renal-Rheumatology Conference.
Fellows will receive longitudinal didactic and hands-on experience on MSKUS by RhMSUS certified faculty. Interested fellows are encouraged to pursue formal certification and have ample access to ultrasound equipment for use during their clinical encounters.
Additionally, our fellows have opportunities to teach medical and physician assistant students and residents of multiple disciplines in both clinical and formal lecture settings.
