Program Director, Internal Medicine Residency Program
Associate Professor, Medicine

The Temple Internal Residency Program is centered within Temple University Hospital, the largest safety net hospital in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and affiliated with the Lewis Katz School of Medicine across the street. We serve the greater population of North Philadelphia as well as the greater Delaware Valley.

Our program is dedicated to training outstanding clinicians with an emphasis on ambulatory based training and high value cost conscious care. We provide cutting edge specialized care particularly in the areas of cardiology, pulmonology, gastroenterology and oncology. Most of our residents subspecialize and obtain very competitive fellowship positions. We also offer a Primary Care Track and an accelerated ABIM Research Track combining 2 years of Internal medicine training with fellowships in cardiology, oncology or infectious diseases.  We have an enhanced resident as teacher and leader curricula with winter and spring events, and foster a collegial environment.

Thank you for your interest in our program.

Sincerely,

Marissa Blum, MD, MSHPR
