Temple Health: Block-by-Block

Temple Health: Block-by-Block (THB3) was a multi-disciplinary research partnership at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. This study collected general demographic, behavioral, social determinant of health and specific health information on over 10000 local North Philadelphia residents. Investigators interested in accessing community data from THB3 for research studies should contact Dr. Shannon Lynch at Shannon.lynch@fccc.edu.

PCORnet and PaTH

Temple University together with the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC, Penn State College of Medicine and Hershey Medical Center, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Geisinger Health Systems, University of Michigan, Ohio State University constitute the Clinical Research Network PaTH which is part of the PCORnet. Our network structure accommodates the concerns, cultural norms, and skills of the participating health care systems, research teams, and patient populations.

Our Steering Committee defines network policies, which are locally implemented consistent with the culture and workflow norms of each site. PaTH maintains analysis-ready, quality-checked, and regularly refreshed data sets that meet relevant regulatory and legal requirements. We are developing and implementing procedures for ensuring network data quality and disseminating our experience to promote PCORnet-wide data quality standards. Concurrently, we are pursuing strategies to link with external sources to enhance data completeness. Learn more about our data at www.pathnetwork.org. You can also contact Sharon.Herring@temple.edu
